Handmade Oxford Fair

NOVEMBER 9TH 2008

OXFORD TOWN HALL

"For the solution to all your gift buying conundrums this year visit the Handmade Oxford fair. Organised by a group of designer/makers for small scale artisans like themselves, who create one of a kind items or limited editions; beautiful pieces, from jewellery to bags and everything in between.

At Handmade Oxford you will find everything from the just right gift to the potential heirloom for friends, family, or yourself: gifts in vogue, ahead of vogue, and certainly not on the high street."

We have a great range of stallholders already booked – from clothing, jewellery, bath and body, photography, stationary and paper, toys, textiles – and more!

We do still have the last few stalls to book. Prices are:

- Half stall = £17.50
- Half stall with insurance for this event only = £25.00
- Full stall = £35.00
- Full stall with insurance for this event only = £42.50

Currently, we are not taking any more applications for jewellery but all other kinds of stalls are still available – baked goods, potters, wood turners etc!

Please contact OxfordCraft [!at] gmail.com for an application form, or if you have any other questions or queries!

I'm sorry that i've been away from my computer for most of august and haven't had chance to add some information that has been sent to me for that month, I'm really sorry if I haven't mentioned your event.

Star and Shadow Market

An arts, crafts and flea market on the 14th September from 11am - 4pm in the atrium of the Star And Shadow Cinema, Stepney bank, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Less than 10 mins walk from Newcastle city centre. A cross between a craft and flea market there will be plenty of bargains available from 2nd hand and vintage traders as well as unique handmade goodies from indie designers. With 15 new stalls:
Heres a preview of whats in store:

Miso Funky - Handmade accessories
Richard Hall - Photography
Accordion Apparel - Funky clothes from independent designers
Doris Illustrated - Handmade vintage bags and art

...........and much more.

There will also be cakes and drinks on sale at the bar area. We will also have a live accoustic set from The Dirty Diamonds

A cross between a flea market & craft market, there will be plenty of bargains to be had as well as lovingly handcrafted goodies which you won't see on anyone else.

Not only id this a place to showcase emerging creative talent but it's also a fundraising event for the cinema (run by hard working volunteers), so you can feel like you're doing your bit, while you shop.

The Star And Shadow is at the top of Ouseburn Valley, opposite the Tanners pub at the city end of the Byker bridge, so not far from town. The venue is wheel chair and buggy friendly.
